A route from the theory record to the established fields, evidence records and competing explanations that must be reviewed before stronger conclusions can be supported.

Institutional persistence, inequality, social networks, cultural change and historical context may explain patterns without a unified family “goal”.

Behavioural genetics and evolution

Genetic, environmental and interaction effects require careful separation. Short-term cultural change must not be described as biological evolution.
